A little about me

I paint to express what I can't put into words. Inspired by the natural world, my work is a dialogue with the shapes and spaces I encounter, aiming to share the experience I feel and see with you.

I love supporting and sharing creativity with others - especially if tea is involved.

I am a visual artist based in Norfolk, UK. I primarily paint large abstract paintings which play with pictorial space, layering, saturated, rich colour, and linear observed shapes to create immersive pieces for the home.

I have painted all my life and taught for nearly 30 years. I enjoy the balance between painting quietly in the studio and offering mentoring and workshops to creatives.

My artwork is held in a variety of private and corporate collections internationally. I have shown in a wide variety of places, from the many international art fairs to the Mall Galleries in London and open studios in Norfolk.

Coming originally from Cornwall, and from a large family, I currently live in Norfolk with my partner, children and my studio companion Otta. I studied at Dewsbury college and Loughborough University graduating with a BA Honours in Fine Art. I then studied at Cambridge University where I gained my Post Graduate Certificate of Education. I am passionate about sharing my love of art and a creative life.
